The Progressive Party is a new party in the International Freedom Union, assembled due to the lack of one definite government, and for the reform of the region. More details about our new party can be found in the posted dispatch.

Yes, I chair the Technocratic party, but despite its large size it is largely stationary. We were founded on mostly roleplay principles, such as promoting technology to find solutions, but roleplay legislation is unimportant and we won't see any for quite a while, and our priority is certainly in legislation to improve the region. If this application is accepted, I will resign my position as Chairman and leave the party.
4. How long have you been in the IFU? I joined roughly a week after the region was founded, back in November, IIRC.

You're dispatch is rather unimpressive, and it definitely needs to be spruced up before it is pinned. I can use the same format I did for the Technocratic Party and make a new one, and hand over control to Ocaenia or whoever can handle it. Alternatively, we can merge the Technocratic and Progressive parties together, and Ocaenia (or someone else) can be the Chair. That way, you can take advantage of the large membership of the Technocratic Party, and its influence in government.

I would love some help with the dispatch. I took a close look at the Technocratic party and yes, it is very similar to what we're trying to make our party be. However let's be clear that all members are still allowed to take a side on the political spectrum when voting. Your description of the TC party makes it seem like members aren't allowed to take a side at all.
I would be honored to merge with the TC party. It will unify the region in ways that parties on the political spectrum are not able to.

However let's be clear that all members are still allowed to take a side on the political spectrum when voting. It will unify the region in ways that parties on the political spectrum are not able to. That was not my intention, individuals may take political sides, but those views are not representative of the greater party, as we believe that the party itself should remain outside of those squabbles and focus on the bigger picture. Anyways, we need to work out how this merger will work. Should we merge into you, you into us, or both of us into an entirely different being. If you merge into us, it will be easier to keep our members satisfied with the situation, and we can still use our assets without making a new dispatch. If we merge into you, some members of our party might leave and we will lose authority, but your ideas will have a greater influence in the party growth. If we both merge into a new being, we will have to make an entirely new dispatch, some members might leave, and we lose the branding and authority associated with our parties, but it can form as a compromise between the parties. |

I was actually thinking about talking with Ocaeania about appointing you chairman, for the reason of, the majority of the members in our party (at least at first) will be from the TC party, so more members might come to our new party if you're the chairman. However this might be just temporary, as I would like to have elections for chairman every once in a while to keep the party alive. |
